DUES

2010-2011 Dues are now due! Dues are now due! Please bring your check for $15.00 ($25.00 for a family membership) to the meeting, or you may mail it to Civil War Round Table, 1227 Lincoln Mall, Lincoln, NE, 68508.  Please support the Civil War Round Table of Nebraska!    So far, 46 members have paid their 2010-2011 dues, 8 being family memberships, and 2 being new members, for a total of $770.00 collected.  The treasurer reports the following as having paid at this point:

Civil War Washington

A few years agon we had a program presented by Dr. Ken Price on Walt Whitman.  He told us at that time that the University of Nebraska English and History Departments were collaberating on a project to study Washington, D.C. during the Civil War.  Our topic this month is that study and our presenter is Dr. Elizabeth Lorang, who is in the English Department at UNL.

Upcoming Historical Events

There is a history conference every other year at Fort Robinson.  This year, the topic is The Civil War in the American West.  Our own Jim Potter is one of the presenters!  It takes place at Fort Rob on April 28-30.  Here is a link to a brochure on the conference:
